Well, dear friends, we have officially prayed in another the new year, 2018! Praise the Lord! We have grand expectations for this year in regards to the Lord’s ministry here at Camp Del-Haven.
The renovation projects on our camper restrooms and shower facilities – plus our kitchen — are coming along, but not yet finished. Please be in prayer with us that the Lord will continue to lead those directly involved in finishing these tasks. Also, we are thankful to the Lord for the fact that God’s people from First Baptist Church of Oak Grove have raised $800 to put toward a replacement for our brush-hog. This would naturally be a good time of year to shop for one, even if it’s a good used one. Please pray with us that the Lord would lead us to just such a deal. When spring comes – we will really be needing one to handle the rough terrain of the campground. We have – in over 65 years of our existence – faced similar circumstances of need and the Lord has heard and answered our prayers in supplying. He has been ever faithful to supply all our needs (Phil.4:13).
We must never neglect to lift up in prayer our wonderful staff. These young men and women are on the front line in the battle for the souls of the boys and girls. Satan wants to get to the children as early in their lives that he can. The spiritual warfare around them is highly intensified. Pray that our staff is not compromised or corrupted in any way. While your at it – please remember the children themselves. We always have many repeaters. Pray that the seed of sound gospel truth has been sown in good soil (as far as their hearts are concerned). This is a sound gospel seed sowing ministry! Please pray with us that the Lord of the harvest will cause our labors to bring forth much fruit for His Kingdom and glory.
