We had a wonderful start of this years Saturday work days for preparations of our up and coming camp season. Several folks — by the Spirit’s moving — showed up to help us out. Please be in prayer that this kind of assistance continues. It really encourages our hearts to witness this testimony of the Lord.
We thank the Lord for the rousing response we have had to our need for new mattresses for the bunks in the dorm. We need 32 — and to date we have received enough funds to purchase 14. Thank you so much! You are loved and appreciated! Please continue to pray for the need to be completely met.
It is impossible to have camp without volunteers to help each summer with the camp operations and the camp program. Several people ask each year what kind of supplies they can donate that will be useful to us. The following list includes paper goods and cleaning supplies in which we are always in need.

We are in need of replacing the mattresses on the bunk beds in the dormitory. The mattresses we are currently using have wooden box frames built in and a few inches of foam on top. These are of such low quality that the wooden frames are breaking and the foam is sagging and tearing. We have a solution to fix the frames for the beds, but we are in need of 32 twin mattresses. We have located twin mattresses that we can purchase for $100 each. If you would like to help with this extra expense, please designate “mattress fund” with your donation. We will begin replacing them a few at a time as we are able.
As you probably know — we have been purging our mailing list to exclude addresses on our list that are no longer relevant. It is both good and necessary to periodically do this. We do not wish — at any time — to send news of our ministry, or our needs, to places that are neither valid nor receptive. And, having done this — may I sow a word of encouragement for you all to — maybe — talk about Del-Haven to someone new — who might become interested in supporting our ministry? We do have a website that you can send them to — if they are up to date with that sort of thing. Also, if there is a church group, or something like that — we would be glad to schedule a time to talk to them in person — and provide for them some brochures. After all — we do have 60 years of experience in preaching the gospel — and of being sustained by the grace of God — from which we can share. It is just a thought.
